Tired of snacks going stale? Here’s a fun and functional solution—make your own 3D printed bag sealing clip using the Uni3D Pen. This beginner-friendly project is quick to make, super practical, and perfect for teaching kids how creativity can solve everyday problems.
Start by drawing the two main parts of the clip: the top and bottom arms. Each should be a straight, flat strip around 7–10 cm long and about 1 cm wide. Use your Uni3D Pen and PLA filament (any color you like) to outline and fill both strips. Reinforce them by going over each piece two to three times until they feel strong and flat.
Next, create a small rectangular hinge piece—about 2 cm wide—that will connect the two arms. Using the pen, attach one end of the hinge to the top strip and the other to the bottom, so the two arms can open and close like a clamp. Test the movement before letting it fully cool. If you want more strength, add an extra layer of filament around the hinge.
To improve grip, add small teeth or texture lines to the inside of each arm. You can also personalize the clip by adding your name or drawing fun designs on the outside. Once done, you’ll have a colorful, reusable sealing clip that’s perfect for chip bags, cereal, or even frozen veggie packs.
This project is fast, useful, and a great way to show kids how 3D tools can make real-world items. Ready to print your own household helpers? Grab your Uni3D Pen here: https://unicornglasgow.com/collections/3d-printing-pens
